Project Description

Can your little one doggy paddle for 5-7 metres unassisted? Then your child is eligible to join our Octopus class at JUMP! Swim Schools in Singapore! Our child swimming lessons follow a world-class multi-tiered swim program developed for optimal progression.

In the Octopus level your child will be taught basic freestyle through learning how to use their big arms. We also teach buoyancy through floating and kicking on their back. Independent swimming is encouraged in this level so they become confident swimmers with basic freestyle technique.

What is an Octopus?

  • Confident independent swimmers
  • Small group class of 4
  • Strong kicking and paddling skills

  • Can comfortably submerge and blow bubbles

  • Can propel themselves through the water without assistance

What happens in an Octopus class?

  • Plenty of fun activities and games to make learning to swim exciting for your child
  • Developing freestyle skills using “big arms”
  • Octopus child swim lessons are all about developing mobility and buoyancy skills through independent floating, paddling and kicking
  • Our expert instructors will work with your child to teach them self-propulsion through the water with their eyes down

Your child will learn how to swim basic freestyle for 7 metres independently and comfortably kick on their back using a kickboard. By the time your child is ready to move up to the Frog class, they will be ready to learn full freestyle and begin backstroke.
