Deer Park owners ready to teach kids water safety and survival skills

JUMP! Deer Park owners’ Hayley and Paul Brennan, parents to six-month-old son Parker, said massive support from the community reaffirmed Deer Park’s need for a family-run private learn to swim facility.

With a strong competitive swimming background and a long career as a primary school teacher, Hayley wanted nothing more than to make someone else’s dreams achievable.

Hayley said,

“My passion for teaching children influenced our choice of career and a love of swimming definitely helped.

“It’s a great way for us to provide opportunities for children to develop life–saving water safety and survival skills.”

Through the programs run at JUMP! Swim Schools, the Brennan’s hope to prepare children and educate parents about water safety.

“We want to make a difference and contribute to our local community. In addition to providing modern, clean facilities and high quality swimming lessons – long term we want to provide CPR courses for our parents and run water safety sessions at our local schools and childcare centres.”

The JUMP! Deer Park open day will run from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, October 28, and will include free face painting, a sausage sizzle, a special mermaid appearance, and tours of the facility.
